Elephant Bedroom Camp offers luxury in a setting of breath-taking beauty. It is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River and shaded by doum palms and other trees that make up this green belt of riverine forest in Samburu National Reserve. The surrounding Samburu National Reserve is an area of spectacular scenery; its dry plains bisected by the meandering river, with the backdrop of Africa's dramatic mountains, including Mt Kenya. The 14 spacious tents have rustic and colorful African touches, offering all the comforts; including a private plunge pool on the deck, hot and cold running water, electricity (and complimentary herbal shower and bath products.) The lounge and dining area is decorated with vibrant safari style, its soft intimate lighting assuring that this is the ultimate place to relax in between exciting game drives. Elephant, Monkeys, Impalas are amongst the camp's many regular wild visitors, whilst Samburu National Reserve has a good number of lions and leopards and offers the opportunity to see many species endemic to northern Kenya.

Approximately 330 kms, takes approximately 6.5 hours’ drive depending on traffic Early morning our guide driver will then warmly meet you at the Nairobi CBD, drive you through the Central Kenya highlands to the semi-arid Samburu/Shaba or Buffalo Springs National Reserve arriving at your lodge/camp for check-in then lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive. Later return back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy early morning game viewing drive to enjoy your African safari then return back to the camp for breakfast. Mid-morning is at leisure. Enjoy lunch then depart on an afternoon game viewing drive. The semi-arid game reserve is home to the special five of Samburu namely the generuk (Twiga gazelle), the grevy’s Zebra, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the reticulated giraffe. Other wildlife here includes lions, the savannah elephant, cape buffalo, the elusive leopard among many others. Later return back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
